DigDeck stores data needed for login, security, session maintenance, and service functionality. Google analytics and advertising tags are loaded only when you consent to the relevant category in Cookie Settings.

Cookie Categories

essential
Storage required for login, security, and session maintenance. This category is always on.
functional
A category used to improve convenience through UI and language preferences. It is kept separate to support future preference changes.
analytics
A category for analytics. Google Tag Manager is loaded only after consent.
advertising
A category for advertising delivery and effectiveness measurement. Google AdSense is loaded only after consent.

Types and Purposes of Cookies and Local Storage

digdeck_session
An HttpOnly cookie used to maintain login status, verify identity, and provide security.
Spotify / Apple Music credentials
localStorage or sessionStorage used to connect external music services, create Decks, and operate Stash playlists.
DigDeck UI and work state
localStorage used to maintain service functionality, including the selected service, language, public Deck editing state, temporary search results, and shuffle limits.
Cookie category preferences
localStorage used to store consent choices for the functional, analytics, and advertising categories, together with the policy version and update time.
Storage used by Google tags
After consent to analytics or advertising, Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense may use cookies, localStorage, or similar technologies.

Information Transmitted Externally

Depending on user actions, music search terms, song, album, and playlist IDs, authentication tokens, destination details needed to send email, and request-related information such as IP addresses and User-Agent strings may be transmitted to external services. After consent to analytics or advertising, page URLs, referrers, IP addresses, User-Agent strings, device and browser information, and information about ad displays or interactions may be sent to Google. Google tags are not loaded on authentication, email verification, or OAuth callback pages.

How Users Can Change Preferences or Delete Data

Use “Change Cookie Settings” below to change your analytics and advertising choices. Your updated choices apply to future page views. To stop third-party scripts that have already loaded, reload the page after changing your settings. You can also delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. Logging out of DigDeck or disconnecting an external music service can delete stored authentication information or connection state.
